In early May, a cabaret show is coming to Frelard: it’s called Over the POP: A Cabaret, happening at Hale’s Ales Palladium.

This is the third year of the production, produced by Lunaria Dance Theatre and featuring dance theatre, “with elements of burlesque dance, showgirl, musical theatre and comedy with an added twist of belly dance,” with singer Caela Bailey and dancer La Gaviota. The cabaret will run for two nights, Friday and Saturday May 3rd and 4th from 7pm to 9pm.

Producer and director Mellilah Jamal says that creating an experience, “a night out”, is her foremost goal.

“Oh my Goldness you guys are amazing! Each performance was so fun, dynamically different, and sometimes just all out-jaw drop-how'd you do that?! No detail was amiss. From the costumes to the choreography, the sets to the music. I also appreciated that everyone got their spotlight moment and that I laughed along the way. Rebecca/Meliliah, I commend you especially for your passion and dedication. I can't wait to see what you come up with next year! Mic drop. Boom.” ~ Lisa O.
